Keeping the Love Alive

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

Marriage is a wonderful and amazing relationship that over the years can settle into a boring routine. Most couples today who have spent decades together know the secrets of keeping the love alive. Love and marriage is a commitment to one another to make each other feel loved and appreciated. Here are some of the ways couples have managed to keep the love alive.

Keeping the love alive can be done with little gestures and acts. Sometimes the extra load of laundry or the specially prepared meal can mean more to your spouses heart then the more traditional expressions of love.

Call your spouse at lunchtime just to say I love you. Include a cute and funny love quote in your spouses lunch box to let them know you are thinking of them during the day.

Set aside time to be with your spouse. Ask your spouse about their day and genuinely listen. Enjoy time with your spouse including watching a movie or playing a game of cards together.

A 12 Year Old Kid Teaching Me on How to Tweet

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

Kids are so technologically aware nowadays, and sometimes just a little disrespectful of women of mature age! My 12 year-old cousin has a twitter account, and I find it so odd, because I am 30 and I don’t even know what the twitter homepage looks like, even if President Obama uses it himself. So when one of my friends asked me to start tweeting too so that we can be a bit up-to-date with the technology world, I said yes. And of course it is my cousin who was explaining to me all the basics I need to know. Even if there is a twitter help center, she was feeling oh-so-important and wanted to show me all the tricks. Being almost two decades older, I let her have fun. She told me, the coolest for her is sending and receiving messages and showed me just how much she has. So, I asked her how to send a message directly to someone on twitter. (According to my cousin, it made me sound old, I should have said, How Do I DM On Twitter? Direct message is DM on twitter parlance but now simply message, as my niece pointed out to me, duh!) And for trial, I suggested we be daring and send a message to my boss who I am crushing on. And the brat just laughed and said, Duh, you can’t send DM anyone who is not following you! If she were not my cousin, I would have given her a spanking!

Some Problems Can Be Solved If You Are Lucky

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

I don’t know why this keeps on happening with me. There are so many users on Facebook but the amount of problems that I have faced with this networking site makes me wonder if they have some sort of grudge on me. Last month I could not upload any photographs because the upload button was not active on the screen. I asked my friends if any of them had any such problems but they all replied in the negative. This month the upload button has reappeared again but no picture appears in my album. So I thought its best to find the facebook help center contact number and speak to someone out there. But even after searching their help page I couldn’t find their contact number. So I did the next best option and put up a question on the help forum hoping that someone would notice it and do something about it. But it has been fifteen days now and still the problem is not solved. I guess sometimes you just have to rely on your luck for getting your problem solved.

I Prefer To Chat Privately Than To Share Some Things

Friday, June 11th, 2010

I love Facebook but i don’t like the chat on there, it’s either not working, starts to play up, or too many people come on at once.  My thing to stop all of the worry of it is to use my Facebook Inbox and Outbox to talk to people as i find if someone is busy, they may not want to keep online chatting so they can answer you in their own time.  Also the good thing about using it is that you can have a conversation and include who you want in it without everyone joining in!  I love the beauty of keeping in touch with people all over the world and seeing what they are all up to and i like to look at their pictures too as you can see when babies are born, special occasions and Weddings.  I must say Facebook is my favourite site out of them all as i love to keep in touch with all of my family and old friends.
