This situation is really quite different. It would not be easy to make and equally difficult to find. I wish they had informed me sooner that I would need to provide my daughter a renaissance princess outfit in Purple. Just like I said, I’m close to panic. The play might as well be tomorrow. I just know that it does not exist in any store. And then a colleague gave me a tip. I never have time for making those little outfits, she confided in me. She says she always got costumes here. What Men Think is the Best Birthday Present
Wednesday, November 17th, 2010I was quite amazed with what most men answered to the question I posted in Facebook, a popular online social networking. In my shout out, I posted the question: “What do you think is the best birthday present to give to your man?” The question I posted received several responses from both genders. I didn’t even expect some guys would join in answering the question.
All the guys who answered the question didn’t mention materialistic presents. I was expecting they would answer a good pair of shoes, a cool backpack or perhaps custom shirts or a pair of cool sunglasses. However, I didn’t get any of those from their answers. Two of the guys who answered said “hugs” would be a great present for them on their birthday, while one of the respondents added “kisses.” One of the two respondents is 26 years old and worked as an internet marketer, while the other one is in his late thirties and is working in a broadcasting company in Manila, Philippines.
Another male responder gave a very unique and interesting response to the question. He is American in his mid fifties who is married to a Filipino. He had been traveling to different countries like Korea and the Philippines, to name a few. And soon, he will be based in China. He advised women that the best gift they could give to their men is to “tie a big ribbon and bow around yourself and greet him at your door wearing it, and only it,” not even wearing any men’s dress shirts or towel to cover your body.
A lady in her early twenties also answered that she likes to give her man flowers and a teddy bear, and other things that she, herself, likes to receive from her man. She added that she actually gave these stuffs to her beau and her man loves them. She said giving dress shirts is too common already that it lost its romance already.
In this informal online survey, it made me realized that there are still a lot of guys out there who are happy with sweet little things such as hugs and kisses. For these guys, being their love ones on their special day is what matters more in their lives. Living a life as uncomplicated as this is what really makes them happy.
Women, if your guys are like these, you are indeed lucky, since nowadays, men like these are rare to find.

Sunday, October 10th, 2010I have been sat indoors watching the commonwealth games over the past few days and I have to admit it is not quite the spectacle that it was billed to be. Many top performers are absent and there seems to be issues with everything there from facilities to the food that the athletes have to eat. I have also noticed that there are very few spectators at any of the events, there is a huge stadium for the athletics and this is the biggest crowd puller and there could not have been more than a few hundred people in there yesterday. There was the odd group of school children and a group of women with hen party t shirts on but around these groups were a sea of empty seats and this is really not a good advert for the host country or the games itself. I did also think that was a very random venue to be spending any part of a hen party

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010I’m in the middle of changing my belts today. You see, I’ve got 2 belts I’ve been using for the past 10 years or so and they are about worn out. The leather is about as cracked and wrinkled as my grandpaw’s 85 year old face (sorry gramps), so I headed out to the store to pick up some new men’s belts.
I get there and see that they are have a 50% off sale on every piece of clorhing in the entire store. Imagine that, what a very lucky day for me. So I head back to where they carry the belts and pick up four size 36′s abd head to the dressing room to make sure that they fit. I got two black leather dress belts and two brown ones.
I only planned on getting two but since it was 50% off, I went ahead and got four. My girlfriend said it was about time.
